FUND
RAISERS
The youth also have the
opportunity to participate in fundraisers to offset the cost of their
activities. This is how the fundraisers work: At every fundraiser 25%
of the funds raised are put into a Youth Crisis Fund. The remaining 75%
of the funds are divided by the total number of hours worked by all the
youth, which gives us an hourly wage rate. That wage rate is then
multiplied by the number of hours each youth works to give a fund-raiser
wage. This wage is then applied to the number of hours a youth has
worked the fund-raiser. Youth may use the funds for any CHURCH related
activity i.e. Ski trip, Diocesan Event, etc. If there is a remaining
balance when the youth graduates the balance is passed on to younger
sibling or absorbed into the Crisis Fund.
